A thick layer of acid copper is plated onto the part which is then polished to a mirror like finish before completing the rest of the plating process. Semi-Bright Nickel Semi-Bright nickel is the first of our two part nickel plating process. Semi-Bright nickel is a necessity for corrosion free, durable plating. Bright Nickel Bright nickel plates a beautiful shining surface on the part. Some people prefer a bright  nickel finish to a chrome finish. For those who choose a chrome finish it is now off for a dip in the chrome tank. Chromium A layer of Chromium is plated on the part which gives it the finish all chrome lovers cherish.
